While youth have always faced a higher impact from economic recessions, the COVID-19 pandemic has severely affected them unlike anything before. The shocks include disruptions to education, income losses, and increased difficulties to transition to decent jobs. The Global Accelerator aims to mitigate these impacts by investing in decent jobs for young women and men, as well as in training so that jobseekers have skills that match what employers want and need.
